CrossFit (and lifting weights)
I started CrossFit in the summer of 2025, having resumed weight lifting earlier that spring after a long break (probably about a year). I decided to try CrossFit after learning about it from family and friends. The only thing I had heard about it was how difficult and taxing it was on the body, but mentally I felt like I could handle it. It only took me two weeks after my first day to overcome the soreness and fatigue, but now I'm consistently able to complete the workout of the day. As of 2026, after a few months into CrossFit, I can confidently say that it never gets easy.
My favorite CrossFit movements:
- Toes to Bars
- Cleans
- Burpee Box Jump Overs
Whenever I have the time, I also like to lift weights. Usually, I lift before attending CrossFit classes.
Here are some of my workout sets before CrossFit classes (on different days of course):
- 10x10 Bench Press
- 10x10 Squats
- 10x10 Deadlifts
You just gotta do it.
